Just 2 miles from the ferry port in Tarbert (for sailing from Uig, Skye) The Village of Ardhasaig has plenty amenities all within walking distance.  A licensed shop/post office /petrol station, Art Galleries, Cafes and a restaurant in the nearby Ardhasaig House.

2 Miles down the road, the neighbouring village of Tarbert hosts a local butchers, small shops, Harris Tweed & Knitwear store, Essence of Harris Candles shop (which doubles as a tourist information point), The Isle of Harris Distillery, Loomshed brewers, a soft play and 2 Hotels - both with restaurants, bars, takeaway and live entertainment.

Boat trips to St Kilda and the outlying islands are available to book from Tarbert and there is a bus service which can take you to the south of the Harris to enjoy the beautiful beaches or Rodel Church (Call the midwife fans anyone?) or up to Lewis to the Black House Village, Calanais Standing Stones or the town of Stornoway.
